Here are the highlights from the Vanarama National League South match between Eastbourne Borough and Slough Town in a match sponsored by Vital Signs (
http://www.ensigneastbourne.co.uk/ind...).
After four out of six points on the road, expectation was running high for the home game against Slough Town – the first meeting of the two side in the National League South. However, the ‘Rebels’ had had some decent results as well and were just two points below the ‘Sports’. In the opening stages, it looked to be going the Borough’s way when Mark Nisbet seemed harshly treated with a sending off. But the opposition didn't keep to the script on this occasion. As so often happens, Slough banded together and dug in deep and were three up by just over the half hour, with danger man – Matty Stevens – the principal cause! Although Eastbourne pulled one back before the half-time, Stevens made it to high a mountain to climb with his hat-trick. Although Dean Cox grabbed a great goal back a combination of goalkeeper, woodwork and just missing the target meant Slough took all three points back home
These highlights include Jamie Howell’s, post-match interview.
